Recently, Al Rajhi Bank executives and senior management expressed the need for an accurate and centralized reporting mechanism to help them achieve total visibility of project management activities. They wanted reports that would provide summarized and detailed information on different aspects of a project with information that is accurate at all times and available without increasing the workload of the banks`s resources .
In May 2009, Al Rajhi Bank teamed up Microsoft Certified Partner eSense to perform a migration from its existing enterprise performance management (EPM) solution to a new version , which combines Microsoft SharePoint 2007,Project Server 2007 and Project Portfolio Server 2007. Using the upgraded servers, eSense was then able to offer the bank a complete project management and portfolio management solution to help executives and senior management realize the banks`s potential by identifying, selecting,managing and delivering portfolios that align with its strategic priorities.
The project was accomplished in just six weeks, including implementation, customization, stabilization, training and handover to the client , with no data loss and minimum downtime. Now the solution measures and tracks the performance of each investment throughout its life cycle. It also compiles periodic status reports, which measure the performance of each project over time .
eSense`s solution has enhanced processes across the entire bank and its branches providing employees with access to familiar acceptations that integrate with EPM systm and allow them to view, update and analyses project information. this has elevated the level of coordination between project teams and provides richer data for analysis and reporting the integration of Office Project Server 2007 with Office SharePoint Server has also allowed the bank to centrally store,link,and share project-related issues, risks and documents for collaborative tracking. Best practices are more easily shared with employees through enterprise templates , and project managements has improved significantly throughout the organization .
